Mix, export and save

Balance your tracks, export WAV or MP3, and save the project.

You'll need at least one track — do “Record your first loop” or “Add a drum beat” first.

What you'll learn

  • Play every track together
  • Mix with gain, mute and solo
  • Export WAV or MP3
  • Save a project to reopen later

The steps

Read them here, or press Play along and the studio will walk you through them.

  1. Play everything together

Open the Session tab and press Play session. Each row in the Layers strip is one track.

  2. Balance the mix

In the Layers strip, drag a track's gain slider, press M to mute it or S to solo it. Click a track's name to rename it.

  3. Export your mix

Pick WAV (best quality) or MP3 (smaller) next to Export audio, then press it. Your browser renders the whole session and downloads the file.

The × box sets how many times the loop repeats in the file.

  4. Save the project

Press Export project to save every track, your drum kit and settings as a .tvate file. Import project reopens it later, exactly as you left it.
